Not a terrible experience overall. The plumber came out for the initial $89 service visit, was very nice and professional, and even helped me learn a thing or two I didn't know about our toilet. $89 well spent I suppose. That said, the repair job ended up being that the flapper needed to be replaced, which they wanted to charge us about an additional $350 to complete. He even suggested potential options should be that we replace the entire toilet for nearly $850... The plumber was saying it could wind up being a pretty complex job. I ended up ordering the flapper part on Amazon for $30 that arrived the next day and fixed it myself in a couple of minutes. Now, there are a lot more complex jobs than fixing toilet parts, I get that. I would still recommend them as a general service as they were very polite and professional. However, my experience felt like pretty significant price gouging and I'd just caution others to make sure you're getting a decent value when using them. If it's $350 to repair a toilet flapper, I can't imagine what a larger job would cost.

Shout out to Bennett who seemed to be lead on my mini split installation.I was very very impressed with his work ethic and commitment to get the job done. He cleaned up after himself and left the areas he worked in tidy.So far my system has been running well and keeping my house cool.One negative I want to mentionBe aware of what is actually required per local code and ask a 3rd party if not sure.Sales may build a generic install including components you may not need. Obviously this makes the company money.Im going to believe it was an oversight and not predatory, but I was quoted for a component that did not get installed because it wasn’t required per code.If you get quoted for a component and it’s not installed speak up and say something.Besides that A+ will use in future!

Mark Toto just stopped by and checked out my system. Too old is the furnace so we decided to get the Furnace and Central AC installed. Mark was great with explaining all the details and they carry quality products! No Tom and Harry Install job and I will have service when I need it all season! Thanks already and the job is scheduled in 2 weeks! UPDATE*** Chris is the go to Man for action I looked at his work and it was a piece of Art, he really know his stuff....Thanks Chris! I should have done this tears go!

It’s the dawn of a new day, running on new heat pumps at my Dover, NH house today. What a phenomenal Multi-Zone Heat Pump installation by Proactive Comfort! I researched and received quotes from several companies before deciding to move forward with Proactive Comfort. They had the best price, best service, and I’m convinced the best quality of installation. The sales representative, Mark Toto, was great to work with, being attentive, knowledgeable, and easily reachable during the quotation and decision process. The lead installer, Jesse Santiago, was a expert and easy to work with, getting everything installed to plan, answering questions, and being open to what I needed. I’m looking forward to complete comfort in the summer and winter in my cape house in the decades ahead in addition to being able to bring my house dependence off the high prices of oil and gas.

Dan, Jesse & Chris were great. They were neat, organized and attentive. They installed (2) units in one day and came back to help install the Wifi app. Great bunch of guys. I finally found my HVAC company. They responded immediately when companies in my own home town wouldn't return my call. We will definitely be using them more.

They arrived early morning as promised and did the job of replacing the heating unit, ac coil, and condenser in one day. The system works great. Very good job and I will continue to use them.

Wow! What a delight doing business with Proactive Comfort. It was easy to schedule and very reasonably priced. Eric was our plumber. He was professional, efficient, neat and gave us good advice. He removed an ancient water filter, replaced the bathtub drain stopper (overflow trip lever) and the corroded faucet. We’ll also consider the mini split maintenance program. Excellent company for heating and plumbing.Eric wore a face mask, which we appreciated because we have medically vulnerable family members.

Erik was excellent and very thorough. He covered his shoes so not to track anything in the house. He explained what he was going to do and did everything including gave me a printout of the efficiency of the furnace. Would definitely refer them to anyone.

Derek was right on time and very professional and polite.I explained our R/O faucet problem as well as a regular faucet issue and he took care of both problems quickly.Although I have no problem with Derek’s work I do think that being charged a ‘dispatch fee’ of $50 in addition to the hourly rate is excessive.Why is there an extra fee charged to get the technician to come to do the work? How else do you get the work scheduled?We probably will not use this company again because of that fee despite the good repair work that was done.
